About Brides With Dogs

Couples hire us because we believe your dog is the most important guest. Combining professional dog handling and wedding coordination, we work with couples to create a personalized timeline tailored to your dog’s involvement. We arrive prepared, assess the environment, identify potential stressors, monitor your dog's body language throughout the day, and make decisions based on what your dog needs in the moment. We provide structured exercise, mental stimulation, decompression breaks, hydration, and advocate for your dog when they need space. Our goal is to keep your dog calm, comfortable, and set up for success so they can safely enjoy the celebration alongside you.

What sets us apart from traditional pet sitters?

Weddings are highly stimulating events filled with excitement, unfamiliar faces, and constant transitions, while in-home pet sitting takes place in dog's familiar environment. Our team is made up of certified service dog trainers, experienced veterinary assistants, and professional dog handlers who understand how to safely guide your dog through the unique demands of a wedding day. Traditional pet sitters often lack formal training, experience, insurance, emergency preparedness and long-term commitment.

Alyssa

Alyssa is a certified BC Guide and Service Dog (PADS) trainer. Since 2017, she has helped raise and train fully certified assistance dogs that support people with disabilities and community care providers. In her house, Labrador hair is just part of the home decor. Along side her work with PADS and Brides With Dogs, she is entering her third year of nursing school.

Vanessa

Vanessa started her journey in dog care working as a kennel attendant in an animal hospital. In addition to ensuring each pet's basic needs were consistently met on schedule, she developed hands-on experience handling and safely managing dogs while supporting veterinary staff. She's also a dog mom to a Maltipoo puppy named Teddy.

Angelina

Angelina is the Owner of Brides With Dogs. She is an experienced veterinary assistant with a background  in animal welfare. After 6 years of service as a diver in the Royal Canadian Navy, she returned to working with dogs and founded Brides With Dogs in 2023. Her business was inspired by helping friends include their dogs in their weddings, where she realized just how overwhelming it can be when you're already part of the bridal party. She has become a preferred vendor among the top wedding professionals in Victoria. In addition to her love for dogs, she also has a passion for English horseback riding and equine care.

Mr. Blue

Blue is our Chief Barketing Officer at Brides With Dogs. When he's not barking orders, he is sniffing out dog-friendly venues, quality-testing treats, peeing on company time and maintaining his status as his vet's most popular visitor. Despite being an older gentleman with a few missing teeth, he is a certified ladies man and a proud mama's boy.
